It's nothing like the original Warhammer Quest (go and buy Warhammer Quest 1 if you want the board game version). I'm more than happy for them to ditch the original rules, as it's like a poor man's Hero Quest anyway, and gets super dull after a while.I'll go through the negatives first. It's still not there and feels like it's still in Beta to some respects. Put another way, they've spent a lot of time and energy on the dungeon section and maps, but the interface and equipment screens are absolute mince. Equipping your party is laborious, confusing and annoying. I'm sure the developer knows this, however, and if they make any $$$ back from the game I'd imagine these issues will be fixed rather quickly.Positives: The action point system is great, and so much better than the original board game. People may disagree with that, but this approach is modern and easy to understand. It also makes equipment selection far more interesting, as you need to have a mix of low AP and high AP weapons to get the best out of your offence. I also love the variety in the characters, and the fact that the player can buy/sell the party. The original game was really dull in respect of the party dynamics, and felt very formulaic. Future: It amazes me that nobody has created a decent turn based Warhammer Dungeon crawler, so I'm delighted to see that somebody has tried. Hero Quest has been begging to get made into a Steam game, but it may be that there are still licencing rights with GW and MB (MB went out of business years ago, so that may confuse IP rights). I'd therefore urge the developers to push this game hard, and start in on DLC sooner rather than later. I'll buy everything you create in support. Just think carefully about the interface and where you take the game next. I know there are loads of haters giving bad feedback, but ignore that at this point as that will just be fan boys being pissy that it isn't exactly like the board game. The truth is that this has a hell of a lot of potential, so I'd urge people to support the developer and give the game a chance over the next 12-18 months.. Well, I brought this game yesterday and have played it a few hours.. a few boring uneventful hours, what I am I doing here hours.The graphics are great, but the gameplay was very uninspiring, I might be spoiled by the likes of Diablo, there are no pickups and the only way to improve is to purchase from the rewards, many many creatures attacking, effectively no way to heal and and all the upgrades had a big minus, get something stronger and it will only work if you have not moved I am very disappointed and this will be going in the bin as a complete waste of money, well I should not say the bin I will reinstall some time down the track but if you have money you want to throw away this is the game for you.. What I hoped this was: An improvement on the first game across the board.What it is: Pure mobile port trash.Pros:Game is actually 3d now, with camera control.Good variety of classes.Items are actually interesting now.Cons: Low monster variety.Board game RNG determines your success.Pitiful AI that doesn't even manage to control all of its units every turn.Grindy beyond grindy.Locks you into a story that limits your options at first, but it's an entirely uninteresting one.If you only barely suffered through the first one, avoid this. My hope was not realized.. Just get the first. The level-up system in this is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and does not reward you for maintaining adventurers for long periods of time. The controls are somehow wonkier than the mobile port that the previous game is.. First Warhammer Quest was way better soundtrack was unique WHQ2 the graphics are great runs great but falls flat compared to WHQ1 try out WHQ1 and compare you will see.... Oh dear, 2 hours in and I'd rather go back to WQ1. I didnt read the reviews as all WQ1 needed was a new coat of paint and a some more toys, how could anyone mess that up!. WQ2 looks better on the face of it, improved graphics, wider array of heroes and items however the hero leveling has been dumbed right down in terms of selecting new abilities, spells, and magic points to the point of boredom and disinterest, surely the very essence of an rpg is some new booms and bashes when you earn a level and a good supply of enemies. What a waste, all it needed was bigger inventory, more dungeons , quests, equipment, enemies, and maybe updated graphics. Never heard of Perchang, GW should have left it with Rodeo games,. Not a bad game, it's a tactical game like xcom with less choices.Not a good game, lacks of some basic animations like killing an enemy, it just instant drop to ground.BUT it's a release, and mustn't have game breaking bugs that don't let finish missions in your fourth mission. Just another broken game, avoid it.. Dont waste your time with this. The 1st game was so much better.. I like the intro screen alot. other than that:Really bad Sound design.Really bad animations/graphics.Clunky/Poor battle mechanics.Every Map looks almost the same.Having a Vampire count, a Wood elf, Dark elf and and a Witch hunter in the same party working together? REALLY? How does that make any sense? Is this even Warhammer?Yeah, this is really bad. Hope I could get my money back...
